Parkinson’s Training
Parkinson’s Explained is a three hour training sessions that enables people to improve their understanding of Parkinson’s.

The aims of the workshop are to:
- Increase your knowledge and understanding of Parkinson’s
- Increase your knowledge about the needs of people living with and caring for people with Parkinson’s
- To identify challenges associated with the symptoms of Parkinson’s and the side effects of medication
- Information about Parkinson’s UK and the resources available to carers and people living with Parkinson’s, so they can improve their quality of life
- This three hour workshop is designed to give all levels of staff working with people affected by Parkinson’s an improved understanding of Parkinson’s
By the end of the session, trainees will be able to:
- Understand the key challenges of living with Parkinson’s, such as mobility, communication and swallowing
- Recognise the importance of the role of Parkinson’s UK and how they can support people
- Evaluate your own practice and care for people with Parkinson’s
