Dog Days Social Group
Dog Days Social Group runs for people living with dementia or memory-related illnesses, their family members and friends.

A pilot of the scheme ran from January until June 2019. The pilot sessions were so popular Crossroads, along with the Forest of Dean Dementia Action Alliance, Dogs for Good and the Dementia Dog Project decided to run the group permanently.
The sessions run on the 4th Thursday of every month, from 2pm-4pm at Berry Hill Rugby Club.
The group is designed for people at any stage of a dementia diagnosis, aiming to provide fun, joy and social interactions to them and their carers.
Volunteers and dogs endure weeks of rigorous training and have been carefully selected based on the dog’s temperament, ensuring client safety.
