Active Living at Home

Crossroads Gloucestershire’s brand-new Active Living at Home service brings the benefits of our usual Active Living Service to your door.  It was launched as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, when many of Crossroads other Active Living activities had to be suspended due to restrictions.

The service is safely delivered by Crossroads Active Living team, who have been provided with PPE and equipment such as face masks, face shields, gloves, aprons and antibacterial gels and wipes. 

The service and activities can include:

• Activity boxes for every client, including materials and items used during the Active Living session
• Video calls with family members or friends
• Gardening
• Cooking
• Gentle exercise
• Craft
• Games
• Walking
• Reminiscence

Active Living at Home has been designed to support people to reconnect with their communities and take part in activities that would usually be accessible at our Active Living Centre.  It includes interacting and working with a member of our team and other people accessing the service via video software if that is desired.
